New $1 Million Fund to Benefit Lead
Wharf Resources, a gold mining company in the Northern Hills, contributed $1 million to establish the Goldcorp-Wharf Sustainable Prosperity Fund at the South Dakota Community Foundation. Income from the fund will be used to support nonprofits in the Lead area "doing good things in our community," said Wharf Administrative Manager Ron Everett.
