Three Rapid City Council Members Will Not Seek Reelection
Rapid City residents of Wards 1, 3, and 4 will have three City Council vacancies to fill this year with Aldermen Dave Davis, Jordan Mason, and Gary Brown each declining to seek reelection. Davis serves as council president, Mason is the chair of the Legal and Finance Committee and Brown is the chair of the Public Works Committee. Two more council members, Bonny Petersen and Steve Laurenti, have terms expiring in 2012. Both are seeking reelection.
