BRFSS. Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System from the Centers for Disease Control. This on-going telephone health survey system has tracked health conditions and risk behaviors in the United States since 1984.

HON: Health on the Net Foundation. HON was founded to encourage the dissemination of quality health information for patients and professionals and the general public, and to facilitate access to the latest and most relevant medical data through the use of the internet. HONcode is the oldest and the most used ethical and trustworthy code for medical and health related information available on internet. The HONcode is designed for three target audiences: the general public, the health professionals and the web publisher, actively involving the site owner in the process of certification.

U.S. National Library of Medicine. The National Library of Medicine (NLM), on the campus of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, is the world's largest medical library. The NLM collects materials and provides information and research services in all areas of biomedicine and health care.

NIH News in Health. A monthly newsletter from the National Institutes of Health covering topics ranging from problem gambling to mental health issues. Free online subscription available as well as RSS feed.

PubMed. PubMed is part of the U.S. National Library of Medicine and is comprised of over 20 million citations for medical literature. PubMed does not publish full text articles but articles may be available from a variety of sources. Many articles are available free and links to those articles can be found on the search results page. PubMed FAQ's offers help for maximizing the use of the website and finding information.
